5 {Sparkly Gold} Things…
This week’s 5 Things… features all things gold and sparkly. I am feeling festive as holiday parties and events loom on the the very near horizon.
Also, one thing I have noticed is women and babies have one major thing in common, their love for glitter. Right now I have my nails done in a glitter combo of Sephora’s ” The Golden Age” and Nicole by OPI’s “Gold Winter’s Night” from the Kardashian collection {see both below}, and one thing I have noticed, children of all ages, whether they are girls or boys, they grab at my fingers and mesmerized they stare at the shininess. Now I could spend exhausting amount of time on my nails in any other solid color, and I would get not even anything near the compliments I receive on my 5 min glitter hack-job. So… Glitter=Good!

On Saturday night our waitress was wearing this shade of lipstick. She said she only wears it at night on the weekends, cause she wasn’t brave enough to wear it otherwise. I absolutely love this shade, and is PERFECT for winter!

I am Christmas OBSESSED! I love all things festive, including this! And it has a little jingle bell-how perfect!

Alright, so now I am really getting into the Christmas Spirit. I am so very excited to get my ‘Nog on, and other such festive things. This weeks 5 Things… are very exciting to me! Especially The Santa Clause! This weekend I watch this with the Stefani(e)s. We ate Greek, and sampled festive Godiva chocolates, and capped off the eve with this Christmas Classic. It may not technically be considered a classic, but for us in our generation it truly is. We realized that we are coming up on 20 years since the release of this movie — which is insanity! And it was fun watching while I was here visiting Ontario, cause it was actually filmed in Oakville {outside of Toronto}.
So here they are this weeks favorite things:
So, I am going to play the redhead card here, I cannot walk past emerald green without owning it. And this dress is no exception! The mix of textures, the colors, the bling! Who wouldn’t want this dress?!?!
{2. Newlook Grey Fox Face Beanie}
Now as I said I am visiting the Toronto area, and the weather is quite different from Vancouver. It was sunny out so I decided to walk to my friend Joy’s house. Now I got about half way there, when I was forced to remember what I had learned back when I lived here. No matter how long my vintage wool coat, no matter how high my leather riding boots, no matter how cozy my handmade {by Joy} knit infinity scarf, if you do not wear a hat, you will die. I wish I had this hat, because just as I always say “put a fox on it – make it better!”
{3. Anna Sui Minnie Mouse Nail Polish}
On any given day, I die for Anna Sui’s Nail Polish bottles. But now you can adorn your nails in the colors of Queen Disney herself… Miss Minnie Mouse! Too cute to use, I would just keep her on my shelf, until the ultimate breakdown when I need this on my nails!
{4. MAC Masterclass Brush Collection}
These makeup brushes have revolutionized makeup application! They are ergonomically designed to keep hands in the proper position for optimal precision, as well as the fibres of the brush are perfectly created to pick up and evenly apply. These have been added to my Christmas list!
{5. The Santa Clause}
Like I said, I love this movie! It convinces me that Santa could exist, no matter how improbable it could be. I know it’s childish Naiveté, but I don’t care! I love to live in a world which believes in a magic so powerful to explain away logic for this jolly creature.

I am obsessed with this weeks discovery: White Faux Taxidermy. I want to fill everyone’s houses with it.
4. {Stila In the Know Eye Shadow Palette}
Last weekend the girls and I went to a cosmetic gala, and a rep from Stila did my makeup, and she used this palette on me. First off I love the matte eyeshadow look, as well, I really love the clay color as well as the other natural tones.
5. {H&M Ring}
I love the antique look of the setting of this ring. And you can’t beat the price!

After a fantastic weekend {it’s sad to say goodbye} of Sister time, Makeover Gala, Engagement Party, Girls Night Out and productive Sunday with the Fam-Jam! But now, Monday is here again! Starting the week off thinking and dreaming of my favorite things is the best to beat the case of the Mondays.

1. {Batiste Dry Shampoo {Also Available at Winners}} I first encountered this product at Winners. I have been on the hunt for some fantastic dry shampoo. As someone who has been afflicted with fine hair, this is a MUST. Batiste creates amazing volume as well as keeps hair looking fresh!
2. {TOPSHOP Burgundy Velvet Skirt} A perfect mix of the velvet christmas dress you had in the 90s and classic silhouette which is very now. I love this skirt for this season.
3. {NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Damned} I became obsessed with this lip color after reading the recent blog post from Stripes & Sequins ‘The Perfect Berry Lip’ , and this NARS lip is an incredible part of the lip recipe.
4. {Veronica Mars DVD Seasons 1-3{Also on US Netflix}} Now my sister is in town, and one thing that we are totally devoted to, are our TV shows. If we are not quoting or referring to them, we are most likely watching them. And one that tops the lists is the one the only Veronica Mars! We squeal in anticipation of the movie coming this spring! Kickstarter makes magic happen!
5. {Chanel Premiere Gold Watch} This is my deepest desire item of the week. I love love love the simplicity and edge of this watch. If Santa is reading, I have been really good this year!

1. {Zara Wool Coat} Statement coats are a fantastic trend this fall. And with this silhouette and in mustard yellow, you will be sure to stand out and be making that statement!
2. {H&M Handbag} The pairing of (faux) leather and fur with geometric lines, creates a beautiful monochromatic look, with that pop of contrasting texture. To top it off the studding detail on the strap brings this bag to another level. (Bring on the studs!)
3. {Forever 21 Eclectic Natural Stone Bib Necklace} I happen to know Santa is bringing a certain someone this necklace for her stocking this year… we will see if it makes it until Christmas, or if it will make an early appearance!
4. {M.A.C Lipstick in ‘Hang-Up’} I am really digging deep rich lip colors this Fall / Winter. All things oxblood, deep berry, and rich crimson are alright by me!
5. {Jo Malone Wild Bluebell Cologne} I love Jo Malone cologne, and this is such a divine scent! I love getting whiffs of it through the day, it makes me feel like I am lying in a meadow. A welcome distraction from my day!
